She came, she saw, she knew and damn, did she deliver!! Loved the show…hated the Food Network’s treatment of her. Sky blue bathroom tiling in a closet-sized “kitchen” lacking even a refrigerator? Amy Finley promised French training, “dumbed it down” according to Food Network protocol….she became an apologist for her own show’s launching…and STILL pulled off one hell of an impressive show. With an obvious lack of any production support whatsoever (ran out of olive oil), she did it! Petit choux, “cracked” potatoes poached in olive oil (couldn’t say that for fear of terrifying the Aunt Sandy fans), and a shallot….I said SHALLOT and red wine sauce for beef. Bravo, Amy Finley!! You began the leader and won…although it really seems to pain Food Network to admit it.

Please ask Food Network to stop bringing ugliness to their shows. The “2 Dudes” show is frightening. I’d hate to taste anything these men cooked (might be eating hair dandruff or even worse). These men don’t represent the “next generation” of cooks - they are extremely passe. Also, the “Ace of Cakes” is terrible. Those people act like zombies (are they zombies?) and are just as boring. And their cakes lack any imagination.

I don’t think that Ace of Cakes lacks imagination. They are a very successful. The 2 dudes should be interesting. As bizarre as you may think they look, they actually competed on Iron Chef America and have an extensive resume.

I love Amy Finley,s new show. Recipes are great and she has a winning way about her. But…. have you seen “simply deliciouso”? I think the show is awful and so is the cook. What does everyone else think? Has anyone watched “Daisy Cooks” with Daisy Martinez ? that was a great latino cooking show with fab recipes you wanted to rush and cook.

Wasn’t too sure about Amy Finley winning, but she has proven to be entertaining while providing great recipes. I have tried each one and they are excellent! Thanks Amy.

Glad to see someone tried a recipe out. I haven’t had a chance to do so yes, but I have downloaded recipes for another time. So far so good Amy…

The Gourmet Next Door may be a decent show, but its theme music could be the soundtrack of a cheesy porno movie!!

I loved “The Gourmet Next Door” where Amy made gourmet cooking something doable. I am so sorry it is not to be continued. Thanks, Amy, for sharing your delicious recipes with us.

Amy is what America is missing today, family. She chose family first and for that I applaud her!
