Salman Rushdie and Top Chef’s, Padma Lakshmi, Divorce
For those of you not in the know, the Top Chef host and cookbook writer, Padma Lakshmi has been married to Salmon Rushdie since 2004. They have been rumored to have fallen on hard times and have recently admitted that they are preparing for divorce.
I have to admit, I thought this was an odd pairing. It was always wierd picturing an award-winning intelectual author married to an Indian Supermodel. It reminded me of the shock I had when I learned of the marriage between Marilyn Monroe and playwrite Arthur Miller. But, what does that say for me…cynical, close-minded and probably a little blinded by stereo-type.

She is gorgeous, that is no secret, her marriage does not concern me a bit, I just wish she were less judgemental when judging a “chefs” creation.
