Mario Batali Hired by General Mills

For anyone that may have been concerned that one of America’s favorite Iron Chef’s is being squeezed out of the very network he helped build, worry no more.
I think that in today’s celebrity chef induced pop-culture, we see just about everyone pushing a line of pots or become a spokesperson for food. Mario Batali may have hit the jackpot.
Mario Batali has recently been hired by General Mills to influence existing products and to develop his own line.
General Mills food brands include Betty Crocker, Green Giant and Wheaties. Stay tuned for more information.

You just don’t cancel Mario Batali. His show maybe, but not him. He is such an amazing chef and a very savvy business man that this is just another chapter. I look forward to Mario Batali Products.

I have watched the programming slowly go down on the food TV Channel. The programming is horrible, and I have started to watch FLN & Discovery Home–their programming is much
better!
I will greatly miss the excellent programming on Food TV Network, it is slowly going the way of the dinosaur.
Thanks!

I agree about the programming. The programming is so-so and there are way too many repeats.

Mario was one of the best. Entertaining, Educational, Historical - whole extended family watching for him, so Food Network going downhill with to few real Chefs, to many trying to do everything else but Food. Disgusted with Food Network, looking elsewhere for Mario.

I agree I like the shows on other networks like Fit TV and Discovery Health. I watch PBS and their Create channel and it’s amazing how many faces from FN are showing up on new shows their.
