Martha Stewart Dyeing Eggs

This week on Martha Stewart, she shared with the audience a way to dye eggs using natural dyeing techniques.
With just a few ingredients you can get a variety of colors. Red cabbage (varied blues), coffee (varied browns), beets (varied pinks), turmeric (varied yellows), onion skins (marbled browns).
With the above along with hot water, salt, vinegar and cheesecloth and twist ties (for the onion skins). It seemed easy and fun. Olympia Dukakis warns that the turmeric is rather odoriferous, but it looked like this would be a fun and different way to get your colored eggs this Easter.
This would probably be a lot of fun to do with kids too. Kids usually love playing with food.
