A BIG Congrats to beloved Paula Deen and her family who are happy to annouce the birth of her first grandchild. Can you just imagine have Paula as your grandmother? She is so a grandma!

The Food Network’s queen of Southern cuisine is celebrating the birth of her first grandchild, Jack Deen. The proud parents are Deen’s older son, Jamie Deen, and his wife, Brooke. “First-time grandma Paula is in heaven,” Nancy Assuncao, Deen’s publicist, said Tuesday. Little Jack weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces when he was born Monday, but he’s sure to put on a few pounds once his grandmother, the queen of Southern comfort food, gets him in the kitchen.
“Paula told me she’s got pots and pans for this child already, to start teaching him,” Assuncao said. “She plans to do some serious cooking with this boy.”

This is the best news yet. Paula a Grandmother. Wow what a thrill that will be to the Queen of Southern Cooking. Paula has a very close knit family and they come first, so it is no wonder that she is in 7th heaven with the birth of baby Jack. Paula will teach that grand son to cook no doubt in my mind at all. Love him, enjoy him and share him. They grow up so fast. Congrats to the loving parents and grand parents.

When my now 12 yr old son started watching Paulas Party bot 6 monthes ago the first thing he asked me was can she be my grandma. lol. So I think Paula is everyones grandma we all love her in my house I have bought her books and also my sons most favorite meal is Bobby’s Goolash Thank you Paula for the laughs and the amazing food

Hey ,Congradulations Mrs Paula Deen, I am your #1 fan, and little Jack is possiblly the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Best of luck to you and your family. I cant wait till the summer of 09, cause my first stop again will be sunny Savannah..
