Super Suppers is Super Good
I recently have heard a lot about a franchise called Super Suppers. I have heard about them everywhere from shows on the Food Network to features on the Today Show.
Super Suppers is a remarkable idea. Each month is a different menu. You sign-up ahead for a time slot and pick 6 or 12 menu items. When you go you have easy to follow recipes and fix entrees ready to freeze to later feed 4-6 people. The average price is about $3 a serving.
The food is great, easy and takes the stress out of figuring out every night “What’s for dinner?”
When I went I was able to fix enough meals to feed us for 16 nights and I did it in about an hour. The serving instructions are very easy. You still have to plan out what you are eating each day because the food needs to defrost in the refrigerator for 24-36 hours, but beyond that it is no fuss.
Check-out their website for a location near you, to view their menu, or hey, if you are really adventurous get information about a franchise.
The food is great and your family will love it. It is the perfect answer for the frazzled family wanting to spend more time around the dinner table together instead of the drive-thru.

Cooking Accomplished! has been a great find for myself and several of my friends. The concept is simple; you go online, pick the entrees you want and the date you want to assemble them. The difference between Cooking Accomplished! and several other businesses like this in Portland, is quality! The owner is a trained chef. They have a commercial kitchen where all the ingredients are prepped by Shelley and her staff. Many of my friends, prior to joining me for meal assembly sessions at Cooking Accomplished!, admitted to serving and eating frozen or pre-cooked meals several times a week and to dining out two or three times a week. We decided since we are worried about nutritional value and using quality local ingredients we would research meal assembly as a solution to reducing time spent shopping and preparing dinners with the goal of eating healthier. The only assemble-your-own meal company that we found in Portland, that had great selections, high quality local ingredients and prepped all their food in-house is CookingAccomplished! in Lake Oswego. Since I started preparing meals at CookingAccomplished! I’ve also signed up for a couple of great cooking classes. My son attended a kids class as well and he can’t wait until the next one. Shelley has done a fantastic job of creating a quality experience!

There are a lot of great companies like this. I know that in our area we have 4 different ones. That is great that they have a cooking class for kids.

I have tried 3 different ones and Super Suppers was by far the best of them. 95% of their meal choices each month are healthy, which I really appreciate for me and my family. They don’t even realize that I am feeding them healthy food:-)
