Cooking Potluck with Paul Deen

My friend’s Southern themed potluck was Saturday and Paul Deen came to my rescue.
I chose to make several of her great Southern fare and everything was a hit. I couldn’t seem to stop myself from cooking. Luckily everything was easy and more importantly very tasty.
I made Hogs in a Sleeping Bag, an adult version of Pigs in a Blanket. Then, I whipped together two very easy recipes of Corn Casserole and Bubba’s Beer Biscuits. The Corn Casserole, of course, was great, and I tried to make it a little lighter by using reduced fat sour cream and cheese. It still tasted great, my husband didn’t even complain. Bubba’s Beer Biscuits are REALLY good and moist. Paula Deen had even suggested that you can use a darker beer if you prefer. The biscuits will be a little darker in color, but still YUMMY! Of course, I had to make a dessert and Paula Deen’s Crunch Top Apple Pie fit the bill. Everything was easy and delicious!
