Getting the Food Onto the Table
Lucky for us, the Food Network really really wants us to be able to access their recipes. Sometimes it’s too much trouble to record every program you want to watch (especially if you don’t realize you want to record the show until halfway through).
The Food Network website is an excellent resource for every recipe you see on the tv shows. The front page always displays the recipes on the show currently airing, and there is a useful search fuction to help sift through all other recipes. Everything is free and, unless you want to save all your favorites on the site, registration isn’t necessary.
If you’re somewhere without constant internet access, the Food Network apparently has a hotline you can call to get any recipe you see on television. Accorting to the National Ledger this phone number is: 1-800-565-FOOD, and there are operators stading by to take orders.
And if you’re *cough*obsessive*cough* like me, I would recommend the DVR, that way you can pause, rewind, and record all the shows you want to watch.
Though none of these methods will actually cook the food for you, they can at least give you a good idea of how to get that done.
